Yoga Vidya Mandiram centre in Chiangmai, Thailand is located in Mae Wang District, Mae win Sub-District of Chiangmai province.  It is a remote location at the foothills of Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand and the ending of the Himalayan mountain range, surrounded by mountains, lush forest and farm lands.  If you love to be in nature and hope to take your course seriously, this is the perfect place to move into your studies and practice undistracted.

Accommodations are wooden Thai-modern fusion bungalows without air conditioning.  All rooms are facilitated with bedsheet, pillow, towel, small set of basic toiletries, hot shower and free internet access with an attached bathroom.  Rooms may be different in shape, size, color, decoration, furnishing, etc.  School reserves the right to allocate students’ rooms based on room option, gender, course, room availability, etc.  Students are not allowed to choose which room they want to be allocated to.  There are 4 room options as follows:

1. Budget Female Dorm: The budget female dorm (3 students per room) is located 3-4 minutes walking distance from the main yoga hall and dining hall. It is on a second floor of a Thai-Style house in that middle of a fruit orchard with a stunning view overlooking distant mountain range fruit orchard and a fish pond.  The room has a capacity of 3 students per dorm room with single bed arrangement.  Our budget dorm is only available for females.
2. Standard Female Dorm: The standard female dorm (3 students per room) is located within the same area as the main yoga hall and dining hall. The room has a capacity of 3 students per dorm room with single bed arrangement.  Our standard dorm is only available for females.
3. Shared Twin Room: The shared twin room (2 students per room) is located within the same area as the main yoga hall and dining hall. The room has a capacity of 2 students per dorm room with single bed arrangement.
4. Private Single Room: The private single room (1 student per room) is located within the same area as the main yoga hall and dining hall. This room option is recommended if you know you need space for yourself during the course or require some peace and quiet during your free time.

Meals served at Yoga Vidya Mandiram are strictly vegetarian with dairy but without eggs.  We can also prepare vegan and gluten-free meals with advance notice.  Students are not allowed to bring eggs or non-vegetarian food (meat, fish, egg, etc.) into the dining hall or kitchen.  Doing so is a violation of student’s Code of Conduct.   We suggest students to prepare dietary supplements from home, if required.  It would be difficult to procure imported products from our centre.

Excursion destination varies for different courses depending on the selected course.  Excursion includes Buddhist temple visits, waterfalls, hiking, elephant bathing, cultural activities (i.e. rice planting, forest planting and ordination) and bamboo rafting.  School reserves the right to select excursion destination.
