The 3 days Himalayan Meditation and Yoga Retreat at Yoga Vidya Mandiram in Rishikesh, India centre is our shortest retreat over a duration of 3 days and 2 nights. The retreat explores the concept of yoga through spiritual discourses and is designed to assist students to understand and experience hidden desire for a hidden quest for discovering the reality within. Students will be guided through a very basic level of understanding of yogic concepts along with the opportunity to visit a sacred site at the foothills of the Himalayas. This short retreat is a perfect way for travellers or corporate employees with limited number of days to learn the basics of yoga. We aim to give beginners a basic and practical introduction into the path of yoga, what yoga is and simple ways to bring yoga into daily life.

Accommodations, meals and excursion during the retreat are inclusive in the course fee as mentioned in more detail below. The excursion usually takes 4 hours and would be a visit to either Vashishtha Cave, or Kunjapuri Temple. Excursion may shift to a different destination if specific circumstances. Excursion organized by school is inclusive in the course fee and the destination would be selected by school.

Course Certification

Upon course completion, you will receive certificate of completion. All retreat courses are valid as Continuing Education (CE) training hours for those registered as RYT under Yoga Alliance (USA). Yoga retreats does not count towards yoga teacher training hours, nor does it certify you as a yoga teacher.

This 3 Days Himalayan Meditation and Yoga Retreat is a short 3 day program with a half-day visit to a sacred site. During this yoga teacher training, you will be provided with three vegetarian meals, including afternoon masala tea. We encourage the students to go sleep early before 10pm as that is conducive to the yoga retreat.
